About The Institution:

 

Satavahana University, Karimnagar has the distinction of starting the first Higher Secondary School in the year 1944-45. 

• In 1956 it started the First Degree College in the region of Karimnagar. 
• In 1980 i.e., after two and a half decades the Satavahana Institute of Post Graduate Studies was started with M.A. Economics and M.Com. 
• In the academic year 1989-90, the Institute became the PG Centre of Osmania University, Hyderabad.
• In the year 1993 it was transferred to the administrative control of Kakatiya University, Warangal.
• In August, 2008 the PG Centre of Kakatiya University at Karimnagar has been upgraded as Satavahana University. With the upgradation of the Post-Graduation College to Satavahana University, during the academic year 2008-2009.

To bring a paradigm shift from teaching and learning to social empowerment with emphasis on high quality value-based education with need-oriented education and training to become partners of national development process.

 

Foster creativity in teaching, learning and research to build a knowledge base and promote quality initiative which can empower the human beings and develop human resources to meet the societal needs, so as to ensure a better quality of life
